Filing without Labor
With DataStore Archiving  (Computer generated Output) printing is eliminated.  Print files are instead transferred from the Meditech computer electronically, filed  using Customer pre-defined index fields, compressed (to maximize the use of storage space), and stored. With a possibility of a million or more pages per gigabyte of media, there is no more efficient method of managing transaction based reports and documents. All of this is accomplished with NO LABOR COMPONENTS other than oversight.

Once stored, the information may be retrieved by single or multiple networked workstations immediately via menu options within the Meditech Application. Once retrieved, the information may be viewed, printed (with or without form overlay), or simply exported to another application.

Ease of use
The average DataStore user can master the system in under one (1) hour. After initial setup, Administrative functions are limited to a few hours per month.

The Systems Administration and comprehensive Security features are controlled through the User Manager function. The Audit trails, Error and User logs and Password properties are all configurable to meet the needs of the organization.

Security
Access to each individual function and application component is set-up by the Systems Administrator using permit or deny entries, either at User or Group level. Users can be restricted down the search value level (For example: only reports that contain your account number). Viewing, printing and use of exporting tools can also be restricted based on cabinet, user, field, etc...

Functions such as Indexing and the use of application setup are restricted to the Administrator or automation tools that have administrator rights to the system.
